Menopause can be a time when women feel lost and alone, they often don't understand what is happening to their body and why they feel the way that they do. Just like the woman who made the above statement, many women feel like they have no reason to complain because there are others who are having a tougher time than them.
This is because menopause is not a topic that is openly spoken about.
Every woman's experience is different which often means that there are many different opinions about what you should be doing.
There are many stories around about how bad menopause is but what about the stories of the women who thrived in this time of life? Approximately 20% of women thrive in this time of life and around 40% of women have mildly annoying symptoms. Imagine being one of the 20%, one of those women who are able to navigate this time of life with ease.
In traditional societies women have always supported each other in their different stages of life. They would come together and talk about what was happening to them and the wise women of the group would share their wisdom and rituals. We have this a little bit in our modern society eg mother's groups but as we grow older many women seem to have lost their support circle, the close group of women who they can share anything with.
This is why the Thrive in Menopause Collective exists.
The Thrive in Menopause Collective has been created to be your support circle. The place where you come to learn more about your hormones and what is happening to your body. The place where you will become re-connected to your own inner wisdom, where you will learn what it take to navigate this time of life with ease.
By being part of the Thrive in Menopause Collective will take you on a journey from feeling lost and alone to stepping into your true Wise Woman role so that you can guide and help others who are coming behind you. This journey might take some time, but you will receive support and guidance every step of the way. An outline of the journey is below.
